Job Profile

• Knowledge of C/C++ or Scripting languages (e.g. Perl) or experience in Automated Test Tool Development is highly desired.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle and test cycles is required.
• Experience in using defect tracking and test management tools is desirable.
• Self starter, quick learner, ability to work under pressure and deliver high quality results.
• Experience in working with US development and test teams is highly desired.

Job Description:

• The test engineer will be part of a 20-30 test engineers team as part of Storage Components Division (SCD).
• This India test team works with the US test teams to validate storage drivers, utilities, and firmware for SAS/SATA storage technologies.
• The Test engineer should work independently on assigned test tasks including test execution, defect reporting and get those to closure.
• This will include low level debugging of problems found during test and help drive them to resolution.
• Provide assistance to senior engineers in coming up with task break down and effort estimates.
• Contribute to test automation.
• Track daily progress, raise risk alarm and be part of the risk mitigations.
• The engineer will need to work closely with US test team members to achieve organizational delivery goals.
• The engineer should have excellent verbal/written communication skills,
• Good understanding of the software / firmware deliverables will be critical.
• There are opportunities to work with management and test leadership to define/improve new automated test tools and work with Test Tool team to implement tools for current and next generation products.
